Below is a short list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) we receive from website visitors interested in our online fax service. Please review these FAQ before you contact us to help reduce the number of customer support tickets we have to answer.
1. How much does it cost to send and receive?
There are no monthly fees to send or receive a fax. You simply pay a per page price when you send a fax or receive a fax - as little as $0.75 for the 1st page and $0.40 for each additional page. Please view our price page for this information.
2. What do I need to use your service?
No software or equipment is needed to send or receive a fax online. You only need access to the internet, an email address, and to sign up for an account. After you sign up you can send a fax or receive a fax immediately. If you haven't already please view our how to send a fax and receive a fax pages for a quick lesson.
3. Can I send or receive faxes at anytime?
Yes. You can send or receive a fax 24 hours a day seven days a week.
4. How long can I reserve a number to receive a fax?
You may reserve a toll-free or local fax number 1 to 7 days for a small fee of $1 per day. The fee ensures that the fax numbers will be used by members. You may extend a fax number reservation prior to expiration, however, after expiration you may receive a different fax number if the current one is picked up by another member.
5. Are my documents secure?
Yes. Our private server is scanned daily by a third party to help identify any potential security threats. All your member information and fax documents are transferred using a verifiable SSL Certificate that utilizes 128-bit encryption. This level of encryption is the norm for online banking websites. Even higher spy grade 256-bit encryption is available to compatible browsers. All uploaded documents are encrypted, and are deleted from our server automatically within 60 days. You can click to delete any fax after it has been sent.
6. What methods of payment do you accept?
Credit card, debit card, echeck, and PayPal. All payments are processed securely through our PayPal gateway, however, you do not need a PayPal account to use our services. Simply process your payment as a guest. For added security we do not store your financial information.
7. Do you give refunds for fax errors?
Most fax errors result from entering bad numbers, voice instead of fax numbers, no answer, or issues with the receiving fax machine such as poor phone line quality, out of paper, out of ink, canceled by receiver and so on. We automatically issue refunds within two business days. You may continue to use our system while you wait for a refund, however, please try to contact the receiver to ensure that you have the correct fax number before trying again.
8. How can I fax more than 2 pages at once?
If your 10 page document was scanned as 10 separate files, then we suggest that you merge the files into one. Most printer/scanner software programs have this feature. If yours does not, search the web for "PDF merge" for example. Most printer/scanner software programs also have an option to create a multi-page PDF, which if you re-scan and use, will combine multiple pages into one file.
9. How do I resend a fax?
Our system will automatically make three attempts to send your fax - when you click send, 5 minutes later, and 30 minutes later if necessary. If you get an error as a result, you should communicate with the receiver to ensure that you have the correct number and that their fax machine is working and shows no visible error alerts (out of ink, out of paper, etc). From the My Faxes tab you can click to re-submit and change the fax number if necessary.
10. Compatible with Mac and Mobile devices?
We do not use Flash or any technology that would prevent Mac or mobile devices from using our services. If you can navigate our site and have made any online payments in the past, then your device is most likely compatible. If you receive errors while on a Mac or mobile device, please email us the details of such errors so that we can update any compatibility requirements.
